Cain's all over your teevee and your blogs and your newspapers and your magazines! He's dominating your YouTubes! Causing a ruckus! I even wrote an extensive catalog of all his SCANDALS (19 and counting!) Today, everyone in Media Land is wondering if the National Restaurant Association will let one of those women folk who are accusing Cain of sexual harassment tell her side of the story. It's Scandal Thanksgiving out there, where TV advertisers for news networks express their gratitude to politicians for messing up just enough so they can turn their news apparatuses into tawdry, ratings-grabbin' gossips.

Democrats Pushing For Inquiry on Clarence Thomas

Roll Call is reporting that a group of Democrats are now pushing for Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice to investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for his failure to disclose his wife's income. Thomas, like all Supreme Court Justices, is sitting on a life-time seat on the highest court in the land. After almost two decades of not-nary-a-peep out of him on or off the bench, the last few years have been full of odd Thomas news, from his promotional book tour, to his wife's controversial involvement in a conservative Tea Party think tank, to his wife reignighting the Anita Hill debacle by calling Professor Hill's office early one Sunday morning and demanding she apologize for being sexually harassed by Thomas, then ... most bizarrely, having all his "sexcapades" published by his ex-lover Lillian McEwen. Coincidence?

Ginni Thomas Regrets Calling Anita Hill

Things that are stupid to do: Stick your finger in an electric socket to see if you can see your skeleton like Bugs Bunny does. Run with scissors. Give your money to Bernie Madoff to invest. Invade Afghanistan. Expect someone to leave their spouse for you when they've told, you several times, they ain't leaving Pauletta for you no matter what you say. Picking a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel. Call Anita Hill's office around 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning to demand that she apologize for having a vagina that your husband, Clarence Thomas, just couldn't resist harassing. Darn those vaginas! They're all trouble.

Lillian McEwen, ex-ladyfriend of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, went on Larry King's show recently to dish, dish, dish about all the things you never wanted to know about Thomas. More on his love of porn! More on his non-relationship with Anita Hill! More on their relationship! Has anyone given McEwen her book deal yet? What's the market for decades old sexual dirt on a Supreme Court Justice no one really likes very much?

Wife of Clarence Thomas Calls Anita Hill to Demand Apology For Her Husband Being A Jerk 19 Years Late

Shot of Anita Hill from Harper's Bazaar in 1997Apparently, Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, got up early one Saturday morning, found the office phone number of Anita Hill, a woman who accused her husband of sexual harassment when she was his aide, and decided to give her a little "peacemaking" call. The kind of call where you demand an apology for her saying those awful things about your husband. Gross things like the time he asked about that pubic hair on that Coke and whatnot. Or when he gave a description of Long Dong Silver. Or when he kept coming on to Anita Hill when she was not interested. And how that all came out during his confirmation hearings nearly 20 years ago. Hearings that were ugly and contentious, but did not stop his nomination to the highest court in the land.

But, you know? It's been a while since anyone talked about your husband being a pervert, so let's get that back in the news, right Ginni!

Supreme Court Goes 8-to-1 to Uphold Part of Voting Rights Act ... Now Who Could Be That "One"?

Civil rights activists had braced themselves for the conservative majority on the court to find Section 5 unconstitutional. But the court refused to do that on an 8-1 vote with only Justice Clarence Thomas, the court's only African American member, going that far. He said that "punishment for long past sins is not a legitimate basis" for imposing the act's toughest restrictions on mostly Southern states.
